FAQ
Fair questions
Do I need to be on the boat?
No. Most customers aren't. We need access to your slip and your deck fitting — if your dock has a locked gate, add the code or key arrangement to your boat's access notes and we'll take it from there.
What days do you come to my marina?
We run a fixed rotation: Harbor Village on Mondays and Thursdays, Ventura West on Tuesdays and Fridays, Ventura Isle on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The booking page only shows days we're at your marina, so you can't pick a wrong one.
What time will you arrive?
We work each marina dock by dock during morning rounds, usually between 7am and noon. We can't promise a clock time — that's how we keep prices down — but you'll get an email the moment your tank is done.
What if I need a pumpout today?
Online booking closes the night before so we can plan the route. For a same-day emergency, call us at (805) 555-0142 — if the boat's on our route and there's room in the tank truck, we'll fit you in.
How does recurring service work?
Pick weekly, every-two-weeks, or monthly, and a service day at your marina. We show up on schedule and bill your card monthly. Skip a visit or cancel the plan anytime from your account.
Is a pumpout required by law?
Discharging untreated sewage is illegal everywhere inside the harbor and within three miles of the California coast. Regular pumpouts keep you legal, keep the harbor swimmable, and keep your boat from developing That Smell.
What size tanks can you handle?
Our truck handles holding tanks up to about 100 gallons in a single visit, which covers nearly every sail and power boat in the harbor. Bigger than that? Call us and we'll work something out.
What happens if you find a problem?
If a vent's blocked, a cap's stripped, or the tank isn't pulling, we'll leave the system as we found it and email you exactly what we saw. No mystery charges, no poking around beyond the job.
